Oakleigh Newsletter 8/10

The August Bank Holiday is fast approaching and nights are slowly starting to creep towards us. Nevertheless we are determined to make the most of the next six weeks or so and have an amazing range of events for you.

We start with a craft village at the Suffolk Horse Spectacular on 5th September at Easton Farm Park. This will not be for everyone but if this is your type of customer then please enjoy the single day's trading.

We bring the country show back to Shugborough Estate in Staffordshire for 11 & 12 September with horses, birds of prey, sheep shearing and terrier racing with cooking demonstrations, children's entertainment and ferrets. We have vacancies for a variety of stalls.

Then to one of our popular free events in the centre of Cambridge - The Food, Garden & Produce Show - on 18 & 19 September. This show is geared towards food, gardening and the outdoors but as anyone who has been to one of our shows in Cambridge knows the marquees are heaving with keen buyers.

We return to Rockingham Castle for the last weekend in September (25 and 26) after last year's success on taking the event over from a different organiser. We have added much more to keep the interest and increased the advertising as well as promoting the historic focus on food with cookery demonstrations, beer and wine tasting and a substantial food hall.

Then for the first weekend in October being Friday 1, Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 we are running three one day street markets in Ilford at Gant's Hill. These markets are part of the re-launch of the area, being substantially promoted by the Council and even include an official opening by the Mayor - Boris Johnson on the Friday. We are limited to around 10 stalls so early booking is essential.
