Latest News from Oakleigh Craft Fairs

Oakleigh Newsletter 3/10

Dear All,

We just wanted to update on the up and coming events
www.oakleighfairs.co.uk/2010/bkfrm10.doc :

The Best News is that the East of England Food Festival with Craft Village
is now supported by Waitrose as well as Love British Food. This event is at
Knebworth Estate on 17 & 18 April just by Junction 7 of the A1 - a classic
venue. Tickets are selling on the internet and we are getting good interest
from across the region.

Its official - we are looking at good weather for Easter.... well Emma says
so and she can be pretty official! Do look at our two shows at Bexley in
Kent and at the Wood Green Animal Shelter near Cambridge. Bexley is a very
well established show and after dropping the Easter Saturday (too many
people going shopping) we have been able to increase the quality of the
entertainment to bring people in.

We have moved Wood Green from the May Bank Holiday to enable us to do a show
in Morden Hall (more later) and there is really very little else to do
around here for Easter (as well as of course some delightful baby animals we
are bringing in AND cookery and wine tasting demos), we expect a higher
turnout than May for this reason and also we are also very pleased to have
commitment for coverage from both the BBC and Heart fm.

Colchester is building well and again we are getting a high level of local
interest with articles already being published in the paper and local groups
becoming involved - always a good sign!

And finally for the first May Bank Holiday. The Morden Hall Country show is
a well established event with a twenty year history and average crowds of
over 20,000 attracting people from all over the area. We will be
distributing over 100,000 flyers, advertising on local radio as well as
using the glossy magazines covering all south and south west London and
local press as well. The AA signs are booked and banners being made. This is
a great show and deserves your support.

And if you are undecided what to do next weekend you can still join us for
an indoor craft fair at Wood Green.

Please note that we are full for jewellery at all these events although we
do have more vacancies later in the season.
