Newland Park, Chalfont St. Giles, Buckinghamshire, HP8 4ABThe Chiltern Open Air Museum is again to play host to the Chiltern Country Show and Craft Village and this year’s show is shaping up to be even better than ever.
There will be something for everyone – from Billy Kinghorn's Sheep Show, to Cyril the Squirrel terrier racing; as well as Kennel Club dog competitions, falconry and birds of prey displays, the Swords of Chivalry medieval re-enactment group who will demonstrate how life was lived in their living history village as well as displaying their fighting skills in the arena, or you might also enjoy a hands-on activity such as have-a-go bakery or candle making.
Children's entertainment will include traditional Punch & Judy shows, cart-horse rides and a farm. There will also be inflatables and a childrens fairground (charge applies).
Rural demonstrations including a working blacksmith, hurdle making, pole lathing, stick furniture making as well as spinning and braiding will whet your interest in how life was lived in past times.
Then, why not sample, browse and buy unique products in our Arts, Crafts & Gifts marquees, as well as the Lifestyle and Food Hall. The event is fully catered and there is a licensed bar.
Trade stands are available and we welcome interest from Associations and Special Interest Groups who wish to participate.
Also at this event, we're proud to host the Kennel Club Companion Dog Show.
