Overview of the show
We are delighted to announce a brand new show for September – but one that we feel is sure to become a regular fixture.
For those who don’t know it, Parker’s Piece is right in the heart of the City, where we also host a very successful Town & Country Show in June.
Whilst obviously we are keen to take bookings from all plant and garden related stallholders, we also welcome arts, crafts, gifts and food hall products to our marquees.
Thousands are expected to flock to Cambridge’s first Food & Garden Festival this September on Parker’s Piece and as well as shows by the BBC/ITV Presenters Gardening Question Time Roadshow and Cooking Demonstrations by the Cookery School at Divertiment, organisers Oakleigh Fairs are delighted to announce the Produce Show.
Mother of two young daughters and organiser of the show, Emma Owen, Director of Oakleigh Fairs says:
'So many people are concerned about food miles and traceability these days and more and more of us are turning to growing our own food wherever possible – and of course it’s cheaper. We hope this event will showcase all that is great about growing your own'
With Arts, Crafts and Gifts marquees as well as Lifestyle stalls and a fantastic Food Hall – there will be something for everyone – where else will you be able to source everything you need for the home and garden as well as other handworked, individual products and tasty goodies from around the country – all under one 'roof'?.
Then why not sample one of the real ales and ciders from around the country; including a mixture of both well known and micro brewery brands, many produced using traditional ingredients and methods – a great way to learn and understand about this considerably expanding market. Tokens will be available for trial glasses of all items.
There will be no entrance fee, but some activities may carry a charge.
The event will be fully catered and there will be a licensed bar, The show will close by 6pm.
Admission: Free!
